We choose Ward 15 for the country roads leading to farm stands and hidden trails. For the charm of our villages where a simple walk can lead to a café or bookstore and losing all track of time. For the natural beauty of Smokey Hollow or Mountsberg Conservation Area. For the sound of children playing outdoors. For the satisfaction of running a small business and looking out for our neighbours. Ward 15 is a treasure. We need to keep it that way.
I am Colleen Stewart. I am a wife, a mother, a business owner and an active member of Ward 15.
In the time I have lived here, I have made connections through volunteering and being an active member of my church, through acting as parent officer and Chair of my son’s School Council and engaging in neighbourhood activism when the garbage on our streets got out of control.
As a skilled communicator and facilitator, I listen, remember what was said, and connect people and ideas. I have a history of speaking out when something is not right. I am willing to be the one who stands up where others can’t.
I love where I live and it pains me to see something wonderful fraying at the edges.
Ward 15 is one of the most desirable places to live in the City of Hamilton. Yet most residents feel overtaxed and overlooked. We see our tax dollars going to solve problems in downtown Hamilton, problems that have nothing to do with life in Ward 15.
We see it every day:
This isn’t about asking for more than our share. It’s about finally getting our fair share.
Tell me your concerns and I will bring them to City Hall.

Strong communities depend on strong families. When families thrive, everyone thrives. Strong families mean a strong future.
Ward 15 is full of young families who want to contribute and raise their children in a safe environment. They take pride in where they live. They deserve safe streets, clean public spaces, and places for children to play and grow. Our teenagers need recreation spaces in our Ward that keep them busy, out of trouble, and connected with their community.
We should be building on what we have: a community that people are proud to call home, not one they see as neglected and slowly crumbling away.
I don’t just talk about community. I work for it.
Leadership starts with action, and I believe in doing the work.

My faith is the core of who I am. It guides how I treat people: with honesty, humility, and respect.
I believe in:
I will fight for everyone in this Ward, regardless of personal politics or who they voted for.
Ensuring our community receives the attention and funding it deserves
Fixing the potholes and crumbling pavement, and keeping projects moving
Advocating for increased police presence and community safety
Addressing debris, stalled construction, and neglected areas
Completing the rec centre, playgrounds, and spaces for our growing community
This campaign is about preserving what works, improving what doesn’t, and building what will make this Ward stronger and more resilient, a Ward we can stay proud to call home.
